Geography & Region

Pennyghael is a small village situated in the Ross of Mull, Scotland. Pennyghael Estate covers ten thousand acres, stretching from the shores of Loch Scridain southwards to the sea cliffs at Carsaig, overlooking Jura, Islay and Colonsay. It extends westwards 6 miles from the Kinloch Hotel to Aird Fada.

We have three self catering cottages each one has superb views and is well appointed.

Pennyghael has a weather observation station which is equipped with Simple Auroral Magnetometer, thermometer and hygrometer which are enclosed in a small Stevenson Screen and fixed on the wall of the observatory building here.
